Updated: Oct 1

Trabajadores Unidos invites the immigrant community of Washington DC to our free workshop "Know Your Rights," this Friday, September 13, 2024, starting at 11 am at our main office, located at 1419 V St. NW, Washington DC 20009.

This workshop will be lead by our immigration coordinator, Celestino Barrera, and attorney Edmundo Saballo. Our specialists will provide valuable information about the rights and obligations of immigrants in Washington DC.

This workshop is open to all people who have questions about legal immigration issues and want to know more about their rights as DC residents.

Why is it important to know your rights as an immigrant in Washington, DC?

In order to protect yourself and ensure that your freedoms are respected, understanding your rights allows you to make informed decisions about your immigration status, access to public services, and how to deal with legal, employment, or discrimination situations. It also helps you navigate the legal system more effectively and defend yourself against potential abuses. Being informed is the first step to fully integrating into the community, accessing opportunities, and living with greater security and confidence.

Do not miss this opportunity to get informed and get your questions answered in our safe and trusting environment. We look forward to seeing you!
