Caravan of Honduran Migrants from AMIREDIS Dialogue

AMIREDIS joined Trabajadores Unidos de Washington DC and members of the Washington DC community on July 22,2015 to share their stories and talk immigration issues. Community members had the opportunity to learn about the challenges that migrants and immigrants face on their journey to the United States.

Good Jobs Nation March

On July 22, 2015 Trabajadores Unidos de Washington DC (TUWDC) participated in the Good Jobs Nation March to increase the minimum wage. Low-wage workers working for the federal government went on strike to ask for a $15 minimum wage and a union. Workers affiliated with TUWDC were on site to support these workers. Senator Bernie Sanders was also there to support federally-contracted workers in their fight for “$15 and a Union”!
